1. System Overview
DBW02AUTO is the latest firing system HAPPINESS presents, designed for a mega or medium
size fireworks display. Wire control, built in Lithium batteries.
The highlight of this new product is that you can program your complicated firing plans on your
PC, and then download the plan to the master controller via USB key. The system will
automatically run the show as you planned.

Technical Features
a） The master controller can run 100 districts (from 00 to 99), can control up to
100*24=2400 channels in total
b） Wire control system, safer and more reliable
c） Can program the firing plan on PC and download to the master controller
d） There is a screen on the controller, you can view your firing plans, or understand the
ongoing firing progress.
e） Built in 3*1800 mAh Lithium batteries, has short circuit, over current and low voltage
protection functions. The Li batteries are more reliable, eco-friendly, lighter, stronger
and suitable for long time preservation, which is better than old lead storage battery.

BATTERY CHARGER
a) The chargers are specially made for lithium batteries, charge voltage 12.6V, current 1A,
recharge time about 5 hours
b) The internal recharging circuit has overcharge protection, so there is no need to worry about
battery damage for overcharging. The battery indicator would light up red while
recharging, and turn green while fully charged.
c) Voltage indication accuracy is +/-0.1V. When the firing extension’s voltage is less than 20%,
the indicator start to flicker. The lower the power is, the faster the flickering will be. When the
voltage is less than 5%, the firing extension will automatically shut down.
3. MASTER CONTROLLER
3.1 Two firing operations
There are two firing operations for the DBW02Auto controller
– Operations on a group of receivers
– Operations on only one certain receiver
Note:
The red above is new function, only for machines with firmware version of APP3.2.
Old customers can let us know if you want to upgrade the firmware.
3.2 Program a display plan and upload to the Controller
a) Setup the software on your PC, which is inside the USB key enclosed, “Happiness PCPROG_
Setup_V2.2”
b) Program you display with the software
c) Export the scripts to the USB drive. Note: the file name has to be “Happiness”, or the
machine won’t recognize it.
d) Insert the USB drive to the machine, it will read and upload the scripts automatically.
e) When everything is ready, you can press the Start/Next button and fire a display.
3.3 Control Panel
DBW02AUTO has a screen, which is very helpful for you to check your firing plan, or
understand the status of a ongoing firing show.
It displays 4 lines of your firing plan, you can use the arrows on the control panel to view
other lines if you like.
While the system is working, the line number changes and flickers, telling you which line of
your firing plan is undergoing.

When everything is ready, turn the key of Safety Switch ⑧ from OFF to ON, the Start
button will light up. Press the Start button, the whole system starts to work as programmed
3.4 HIGHLIGHTS of the controller
“Pause” button
As per customers’ feedback, the important PAUSE function is added to this new
generation of DBW master controller. If something unexpected happens while the system is
working as planed, you can simply pause the firing by press the button. And later on you can
resume the firing by press the Start button, the system will continue to finish the rest of the job.
“Start / Next” button
Besides the function of kick off a show, if you press the “Start / Next” button in the middle
of a display, the firing will jump to next time point with the current time point is still ongoing.
This function is also designed for unexpected things, like wrong time estimation, needs to bring
next step a little time ahead…
Two pairs of connectors (position ⑦ on the panel, I and II )
This upgrading is according to customer feedback as well.
In some large-scale performances, there will be many firing operations, and 24 channels
for one extension may not be enough (meaning the actual firing operations exceed 24). So we
upgraded the controller and added a set of connectors.
When the first group of extensions is still performing the last firing operation (at this
moment all 24 channels on the extension have been operated), immediately switch to another
group of extensions. Then the following firing operations will continue on a new group of
extensions (equivalent to adding 24 channels to the first group of extension).
