Three:Operation principle
Mainly used for depositing balls for display shells during the production, the machine can complete such processes as spreading glue on paper tapes and wrapping balls vertically or horizontally by tape papers, etc. automatically. The machine is equipped with a semi-circular bracket and a ring winder which is fixed with a paper tape drum, a glue container and a piece of pressing plastic sheet. Rotating constantly around the display shell, the ring winder wraps the balls through the paper tape spread with glue. The low speed rotation axis and the supporting rod fixed at the bottom of the semi-circular bracket clamp and secure the display shell at the central of the semi-circular bracket and the ring winder. Besides, the rotation axis drives the display shell to rotate and to be wrapped evenly by the paper tape. Moreover, the display shell can be wrapped in different angles because the relative position of the semi-circular bracket to the machine bracket can be adjusted.
Firstly, clamping the securing the display shell between the low speed rotation axis and the supporting rod of the semi-circular bracket manually. Pressing-in and letting the front end of the paper tape pass through the glue container. Wrapping the display shell with the paper tape. After that, starting up the machine. While the ring winder takes the glue container and the paper tape drum to rotate in high speed around the display shell, the display shell rotates lowly along with the slow speed rotation axis and eventually is wrapped by the paper tape uniformly. After the display shells rotates a circle, he relative position between the semi-circular bracket and the machine bracket will be adjusted to the next given angle automatically where the display shell is ready for the next process of wrapping with tape paper. The machine won’t stop automatically unless all the given volume of paper tape has been consumed in this way. Cutting the paper tape and then the machine will be re-started. The paper tape wrapping on the display shell will be compressed and shaved by the pressing plastic sheet. The machine will automatically stop again after the slow speed rotation axis takes the display shell finish all the given circles of rotation. At that time, the whole process will be finished by taking down the wrapped display shell manually.
Fore:Usage and Operation
5.1 Electrical equipment operation manual
The power supply for the control cabinet of the machine is AC220V/50HZ with a entry mode of three-phase four-wire system;The allowed fluctuation range is 10%. After finishing the installation of the control cabinet, the terminal for the incoming wire should be connected with the distribution line controlled by the three-phase air brake switch and the cabinet should be grounded.
5.1.1 Control function and features
A、 Using a PLC to control the whole system. According to the requirement of the mechanism action, the PLC monitors the rotation speed of the display shell accurately through the steeping motor, and coordinates with a reasonable combination of the paper tape motor and the three-dimensional angle control motor in order to complete a series of specified actions and to meet the design requirement.
B、The operation of the machine is simple, it includes a emergency stop key, a stop key and a start key. They were arranged from left to right under the PLC.
C、 Running parameters of eight specifications can be set. The current specifications are: balls of 3 inches, 4 inches, 5 inches, 6 inches, 7 inches, 8 inches, 10 inches, 12 inches.(notes:10 inches and 12 inches can be set, but the machine is not unfit, so they are not useful.)
D、 Running parameters of each specification can be set and operated individually and each specification can be set with parameters of 1-8 angles of wrapping the display shell, the rotation circles and the paper tape cutting time, etc.
E、 There are two states in terms of running directions. The running direction of the 3 inches ball is from the upper stop point to the lower stop point, while that of the others are from the lower stop point to the upper stop point. The paper tape motor has the function of shutting down for location.
F、 After being installed, the machine is in a ready mode with specification and parameter of the previous running automatically during starting up. It can self-check automatically including upper and lower stroke limit switches and swing angle sensor, if the sensor is fail, it will prompt by corresponding light flashing.
G、 All parameters can be kept in memory after setting, so do the specification and parameters of the previous operation.
5.1.2 Normal operation control
A、 Opening the door of the control cabinet with the key, activating the air brake switch of the power supply, and closing the door; The operator on shift should close the switch after work.
B、 After the activation of the switch for the power supply on the control panel, the machine start to self-checking and reposition. After repositioning, the machine is in ready mode and the PLC displays as following state diagram.

C、 Select a language, it will enter next step as following(it displays previous parameters). According to the requirement of the current dimension specification, the user can press the option keys for eight specifications (3 – 12) on the control panel to set the operation. You also can set Paper-cut time and Knead ball time by touching pop digital keyboard when you press these digital. If you press knead function key, you may choose “kneading on” or “kneading stop” function.

Notes:keys just only adjust the ball angle.

D、 The large green press key under the PLC on the panel is for starting up and confirming the setting. After pressing the key in the ready mode, the machine will be started up and the current operation parameters will be displaced during running.
E、 The big red press key under the PLC on the panel is for pause/ stopping the service/ exiting the parameter setting. Pressing the key in normal operation state, the machine will be in pause mode and display ;Pressing the key in pause state, the machine will be stopped.
5.1.3 Setting and adjusting of parameters
(1):Looking above diagram 2, press “Parameter Set” key, Pop a digital keyboard, enter your password. it will display as following diagram.

(2) Choose the row of your required ball size. Pressing the number, Popping a digital keyboard, enter your number, then press “enter”, the parameter is already modified. At the same method, you can modify others parameters.
(3)Pressing “Next” key, it will turn the following digram.

(4)Pressing “Return” key, it will return the last diagram.
(5)Set system clock and password method: press icon “” of above diagram2, Popping a digital keyboard, enter the original password ,it will display the following diagram:

A Set system clock: pressing icon “” ,it will display the following diagram:

Modifying the numbers of you required by popping digital keyboard, then press enter, press “Return” key.
B Set password: press icon “”, enter your number by popping digital keyboard, then press enter. Then press icon “
” to exit.
(6)After all parameters have been set, to press the large green press key under the PLC on the panel to confirm the setting, then to press the big red press key under the PLC on the panel to exit setting.
5.1.4 Common defaults and troubles shooting
A、When the machine or sensor is fault, the PLC will display fault diagram and the machine will stop immediately. The light of the corresponding fault will flash. By prompting, you maybe find out the problems.
B、No display after starting up: directly checking the part of the power supply whether OK.
C、Display is normal but the steeping motor can’t rotate: focusing on the switch power supply of 24V and the diver of the steeping motor, and checking if they are normal. Generally, the steeping motors are difficult to damage.
D、If you do not solve the fault, call on the phone of our after sale-service department.

The user can adjust voluntarily if there is any derivation. The bigger the value, the thicker the paper; the smaller the value, the thinner the paper.
5.2 Preparation for starting
5.2.1 All components requiring for lubrication should be greased before the initial starting up.
5.2.2 After checking if the specification of the display shell waiting for wrapping complies with that of being adjusted by the low speed rotation axis, the user should inspect if the display shell can be clamped between the low speed rotation axis and the supporting rod and fixed at the center of the ring winder. Otherwise, the position of the supporting rod or the pressure of the clamping spring on it should be adjusted to make the display shell to be clamped at the central of the ring winder firmly.
5.2.3 Confirming that if the machine has been assembled correctly and the wiring respected the requirement. Besides, direction of motor rotation should be examined for the first startup.
5.2.4 The user should place the paper tape coil of corresponding specification on the bracket, fill the container with glue and let the paper tape pass through the glue container.
5.3 Normal start and stop
5.3.1 The machine will enter the first page of interface after switching on the power supply. Pay attention not to touch any key on the control cabinet at the moment as the electrical system is reading the pulse signal automatically.
5.3.2 After the machine reposition-self, the PLC display the first diagram as above 5.1.2, after selecting a language, the PLC display the second diagram as above 5.1.2, the user can press key 3inch-12 inch to set the dimension specification of the display shell — the ball deposited mode.
5.3.3 Holding the display shell by hand, clamping it on the machine by pressing the load/unload pedal by foot, and wrapping it by the paper tape which has passed through the glue container.
5.3.4 The machine is in ball deposited mode after press the starting up key. With the ball compressing process being set, there will be several seconds for cutting the paper tape after all the given volume is consumed and the machine will be restated automatically to finish compressing the wrapped ball. After that, the machine will finally stop automatically.
5.3.5 The machine can be set with the pause function. If glue or and paper tape are used out during the operation, the user can press the pause/stop key to fill in the glue or add the paper tape. After that, the machine can go on finishing the rest process of wrapping the display shell by pressing the starting up key.
Five:Common defaults and troubles shooting
